Biokovo

Mountain Biokovo encompases costal region of unique natural attributes, length of 60 kilometers from Brela to Gradac. High and impressive peaks(1500m) and steep cliff’s are inland barely 2-3 kilometers. Assuredly one of the most impressive mountains spectacular views. Contrast  is especially powerful in early spring or in late fall when wile the snow is still on mountain, on the shore is already getting in summer activity. In little places in the world such tall peak’s are in that length come so close to the shore and mountain cliffs so aslope lift’s like on mountain Biokovo. Sometimes its possible to see wild goat or muflon on the cliffs standing. Combination of the mountain (highest peak St. George 1762m) and the coast made singularly beauty’s, our greatest beach’s, lush forest’s of pine tree, tame olive tree’s, vineyard’s, colorful village’s aligned along the shore or imprinted under the cliffs. Which panorama is more beautiful? Is it the one from the sea looking on the green flysch slopes and rough Biokovo rocks decorated with authentic black pine tree, or the one from the tops of the mountain on the coast, island’s and vast sea, it is on you to decide.
